Letter to the Gym

Dear Local Gym,

I would first like to thank you for being a block away from my house. Your location is very much appreciated. However, there is one matter I would like to discuss in order to make your facility a better place for everyone (well at least for me).

First, I would like to know who set up your gym. I went to a gym in Pennsylvania and they had their treadmills in the back. You put yours in the front. Why? I'm very self conscious about my butt and I do not appreciate the old sweaty men who sit on the machines behind me while I am trying to run. Seriously, could you move the weight machines in front of the treadmills so that I am not oogled as I try to tighten up my ass?

Thanks so much,
The young chick trying to work off the last of the extra college pounds

My gym is set up the same way. I just thought it was so people on the treadmill wouldn't fling off and hit the wall if they were going too fast. But maybe the dirty old men had a say in the layout. Hmmm... Send it.

If it is any consolation, this creepy old man thought that your butt looked just fine! :))

THAT is exactly why i hate the gym! no one should be checking me out while i'm huffing, puffing and sweating.

haha I hear you! Our gym has all the ellipticals around the indoor track, so everyone running gets a bird's eye view of my arse...so awkward. Sweaty out of breath me does NOT appreciate it!

Creepy old men totally designed the lay out... I've taken to doing my cardio in the ladies only section for this reason.

I actually once had a guy slap my ass as he walked by me running on the treadmill. He was instanly booted from the gym. Not cool dude. Not cool.

Visiting from Ocean Girl's place....

My gym is for women only, and I much prefer that. Working out is tough enough without having to think about how you look.

I'm with you. I loved going to an all women's gym. You didn't have to deal with that or the leopard skin leotards.
