RTT: Oh, Eli

- Hottie of the Week: Eli Manning. That's right folks. The New York Giants have finally won a damn football game. Let me tell you...it feels good. I'm convinced it's because Sunday was my mother's birthday. I told her that this was one of the best gifts she got this year. Eli loves his future mother in law and he would never lose on her birthday.Enough with the creepiness though...he's adorable. How can you not love this?
She said he's adorable...and she's right! Yum!

- I heard somewhere that the average American locks his or her keys in the car twice in their life. I've already done it 4 times (3 of them were this year alone). Techinically that means I've done it enough for me and someone else. Someone in this country will never lock their keys in the car thanks to me. I expect a thank you gift. I saved you about $90.

Update: I locked my keys in my car AGAIN TODAY!! RIGHT AFTER POSTING THIS!

- Does anyone have an Amazon Kindle? I think that's so clever and I really want one. They're still pricey though. Perhaps I can lock my keys in my car a few more times to save others from the pain and then they can all go in on buying one for me. That was a logical thought process, right?

I have never really seen that hot of a pic of Manning. I'm now a Giants fan. lol. That commercial is priceless!

My one professor has a Kindle and brought it into class and everyone shat a collective brick. Except me, who had no idea what the hell it was. When I realized what it was, I was nonplussed. I like having a physical book in my hands. I stare at computers enough to ruin my eyes so that I'm blind by the time I hit thirty.

Although the whole "getting books instantly" thing is kinda cool, especially for class. But other than that...no sale.

And yeah, that commercial is adorable. And I'd like to think I know "adorable."

Those Manning brothers make the best commercials. Wasn't it Peyton who did that satirical spoof for the NFL and United Way where he swears at the kids and deliberately hits them with football passes? LOVE that one. Eli is much more innocent.

And adorable.

Moving along... you crack me up with your key locking escapades. Some people might consider a car with keyless entry. Just a suggestion. I used to have a car with a keypad, so I never needed a key to get in. That came in handy when I was at an LPGA golf tournament in Daytona Beach with my mother and aunt. We got back to the car after a long day of walking the links (in 90-something degrees) only to discover I'd locked my keys in the trunk. I called the car maker and customer service told me to key in my number sequence plus the # button and voila, the trunk opened right up. What I DON'T remember is why I couldn't get in the trunk through the car, since the code would get me in. Huh.

Anyway, I don't have a Kindle but think I'll put it on my wishlist for some day. The people I know who have them, love them. Maybe Santa will bring you one?

Happy Thanksgiving Ice Queen! Casa Hice is thankful for YOU!

I have never locked my keys in the car but twice I have filled it with petrol instead of diesel and vice versa. I just love that moment of realisation when the car is bunny-hopping down the road!!

There is nothing worse than hearing that car door shut at the exact second that you realize the keys are still in the ignition!

Go Giants!!!

My, thats a bloke with a bod!

I usually lock myself out of the house...done that about 12 times. Dropped car keys down a drain once...

I want a Kindle too. Actually, I want a Nook (Barnes and Noble's version... their wifi to get books is FREE!)but I'm trying to win a Kindle (if I can get one FREE, I'll take it!) But, I have about 50 books in my bedroom that I haven't read yet (I really need to stay out of the bookstore for the next 2 years so I can catch up). So I can't justify getting a Kindle/Nook until I make a dent in those books first.

I've never heard of a Kindle. Duh, technophobe. But I will look it up today. And I too am nervous that I might any day now, lock my keys inside my car. Happened earlier this year at work. Thankfully (!) the UT police have a motorist assistance program and they came over to my parking garage and pried the door ajar just enough to wiggle in a little tool to unlock the car. But, that program is now gone thanks to budget cuts. I'm living without a safety net. Oh, yes, Eli is very cute. -Diane

My 17 year old son does you one better. He loses his keys. Twice. Once they fell out of his surf shorts while he was jumping off Waimea Rock. Last week, while surfing, he "hid them" in his friend's van, but did not bother telling his friend, who proceeded to get out of the water and drive off with the hidden keys.

I have friends who have Kindle's and love them. They are rather pricey but I still want one.

I have never seen such a hot pick of Eli - yum!

I've locked my keys in my car at least 3 times. One time it was running. I'm awesome.

I think I've locked my keys in once...

I have a kindle and I LOVE it. At first I thought I'd miss having actual pages to turn. Nope, not at all. I've had mine for 2.5yrs or so and can't live without it. Plus there's an iphone app so I can read my book where ever I am, then when I get home I just sync to the correct spot. It doesn't even need to be hooked up, just a click. LOVE it. You must own one. Eli will love you much more if you do. Seriously.

I've locked my keys at least twice too, and each of my kids have 2 down already. We're right on target.

I reject that football player. He looks like he has a small case of the downs. Sorry.

You're right; he really is adorable! I'm trying to start liking those sweet, guy next door types. Unfortunately, it's hard to tear myself away from the bad boys. lol

As for the kindle, what I don't like is that you have to pay full price for all the books you'd like to read on it. I like to get my books where they're free--the library!

Ooh I thought of another reason why I can't have a Kindle. I like to read predominately in the bathtub. Electronic devices + bathtub = badness

Just ask my cell phone...

He's the hottest. You can have Tom, Giesele--he's no Eli.
