It's the most wonderful time of the year...football season. My boys are back and I have a good feeling about it. I have a ticket to see tonight preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.Of course this was meant to be a birthday surprise a month early. They just built the new stadium and tickets aren't cheap. Of course my mother gave me this ticket and I immediately thought I lost it.
Me: Momma, can I see my ticket?
Mom: Okay....here
Me: It's beautiful. Can I keep it?
Mom: No, you'll lose it. Leave it in my drawer until it's time.
Me: Please! I won't lose it.
Mom: Fine....
She gave me the ticket. She should have known better. I immediately announced to the world (via facebook) that I was going. Then I thought to myself "I better put this ticket somewhere safe so I don't lose it". So I did. Did I bother to remember where I put it? No.
I went into sheer panic for about 20 minutes tearing apart the house looking for this thing. I eventually found it...it was stuck to the fridge with my magnet (mom's good in that way). Now my room is a mess. It was worth it.
I'm absolutely obsessed with Eli Manning. I cried when he got married after they won the superbowl. I'm waiting for that divorce. It'll happen. I'm sure of it. I just have to be patient...

I'd love to tell you I'm a huge Rams fan. Alas, I am not. I like going to games tho. So this year I'll be in your camp and be Giants fan... is that ok??
I am excited that my husband's friend sold his browns seat license. He was going up to every game in cleveland with him. It killed the weekends. Then... he also manages to get buckeye tickets from friends!!! Biking all summer, football all fall.... I have him a few months in the late winter and early spring.
OHHHH!!! When Dave (Matthews, duh) gets his divorce, we can have a double wedding!!
Hope you had fun at the game - I'm from Lions country. It's only good when I like the visiting team.

it's weird that football season is starting already... i'm still into baseball!
I have no idea what American football is about - I know the english ones play a lot and fight a lot (much to my shame).
But I wish they looked like Eli up there - I may take more interest in it if they did!
